What does Discernment of Spirits mean?
Discernment of spirits, in a religious context, refers to the ability to distinguish between the influence of God, the devil, or other spiritual entities on a person's thoughts, emotions, and actions.
It's a concept found in various Christian traditions, including Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, and charismatic churches, as well as in some Eastern philosophies. This ability is often seen as a spiritual gift or a learned practice that helps individuals navigate spiritual and moral decisions.
There are multiple ways to Discern, these include: People & Spirits, as well as thoughts & Emotions. We can also discern through Words, Actions, Behaviors and feelings.
It's important to use your best judgment when discerning, as for an example:
One could feel sick out of nowhere. Was it something you ate? Or drank? Or was it a spiritual attack?
To identify spiritual attacks the signs you want to look for are:
- Feeling negative constantly.
- Feeling depressed or low energy.
- Feelings of being drained constantly, (This can be a spirit draining your energy).
- Becoming angry very quickly and/or taking it out on others or oneself.
- Showing hate not love.
- Feeling anxiety out of nowhere or feeling sick.
These are signs to look out for. As referred to in my blog about Low Vibrational Energy.
I will use myself as an example. When I'm out and around others, I can feel and sense how others are feeling. I can feel others' Emotions & Intentions. I pay close attention to there words & actions. I often think, would God approve of or do the same? Are they Compassionate, Caring or Loving?
Music can also be a negative influence to others as well as entertainment.
